CORE SPOTLIGHT

This month, we are highlighting a member of our ReStore CORE! Our ReStore CORE volunteers have completed over 10,000 hours volunteering at the Iowa City ReStore. They help unload donations in our donation bay, reorganize the store, assist in repairing items, and so much more! We are so thankful to have them as part of our organization! ðŸ›’

Larry Kent

Larry is a long-time volunteer at the Iowa City ReStore. He began volunteering with us back in 2014 and has been extremely helpful in pricing the items in the store! We are so thankful that he volunteers with us here at Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity! Click to read more about Larry and what IVHFH means to him!

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE IOWA CITY RESTORE?
Assembling...measuring...organizing...and more!

Last month, U.S. Bank - Branch Managers generously donated their time to our Iowa City ReStore. This incredible team of volunteers assembled new light fixtures, measured & organized all the doors to make it easier for shoppers to access, organized the houseware section to make it shopable, put away six shopping carts of recently priced merchandise, and so much more! We truly cannot thank them enough for all of their help at our ReStore!

Did you hear? We have a new ReStore website, and we encourage all to check it out! While you are exploring the new website, follow us on our Iowa City ReStore Facebook page to stay updated on store inventory, special sales, donation needs, and volunteer opportunities.

Iowa City Homeless Project

The Iowa City Homeless Project is a student-led organization dedicated to prioritizing service to support the local homeless community. While this organization was established just over a year ago, it has already made a significant impact on the Iowa City community by volunteering with various non-profits in the area. We are incredibly grateful for their involvement at our build site and for their assistance with both of our build projects this season! A big thank you to the Iowa City Homeless Project!
