On June 13th, we witnessed countless smiles and joyful tears as we celebrated the home dedication ceremony for our Women Build 14 honoree, Billie Townsend. This home signifies more than mere shelter; it serves as a cornerstone for a brighter and more secure future for Haydar, Nagla, and their three children.

We are incredibly grateful to our construction team, volunteers, and supporters for their invaluable assistance in supporting Billie and our mission throughout this remarkable build!

In the last few weeks, the Kirkwood Community College Interior Design + Interior Architecture Program has generously volunteered their time with us on several of our ongoing projects! This program is well-regarded for its various accolades. It stands as Iowa's sole Interior Architecture degree, recognized at the national level with award-winning faculty and students. The program adheres to the standards set by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation and boasts a 100% employment rate for graduates.

We are proud to have this impressive group volunteering with us. They recently assisted in constructing the garage in Morning Sun, began laying sod at our Women Build home, and helped us move closer to finishing our new Warehouse! We are incredibly grateful for all their hard work and commitment to our organization! 🏠
