Thursday, July 17—IVHFH staff and the Women Build committee will join the future Women Build homeowners to break ground at the site of their future home.

Groundbreakings typically last about 30 minutes. Join us in celebrating with the honorees and future homeowners!

Saturday, July 26—Join us for our annual Frame-A-Thon Decorating Party at the Habitat Warehouse! A critical component of every home is a strong and sturdy frame. We invite the community to help make the Wai Yin Chan and Linda "Digger" Barrow Women Build Home frame even stronger by adding love to each 2x4 or stud that will frame the home!

Participants are invited to decorate their board, which will be nailed together to frame the walls of the home. The frame will eventually be enclosed by drywall, but the love of this incredible community will live forever within the walls of the home.

That's not all! We are excited to have you join us that morning for a special SURPRISE celebration of IVHFH Construction Manager, Christy Shipley! She will be recognized as part of the unveiling of our new warehouse!

Come and go as you please, but join us for lunch and the Warehouse Dedication honoring Christy Shipley at 11:00 a.m. RSVP here!

Wednesday, August 6—Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity construction staff and skilled construction volunteers will host a workshop for those interested in volunteering to build Habitat homes. These beginner-level classes will cover tool identification, construction terminology, site safety, and more. The IVHFH Women Build Committee hosts workshops, but ALL ARE WELCOME!

Attendees must be at least 18 years old. Please email sammi@iowavalleyhabitat.org to RSVP. Registration is required.

Classes are FREE, but we encourage a free-will donation to support the construction of the Wai Yin Chan and Linda "Digger" Barrow Women Build Home.
