IVHFH is gathering the community to pay tribute to a man who played an integral role in helping 104 local families build safe, affordable, permanent homes with Habitat for Humanity. We invite our community to join William Laubengayer’s family, friends, and his Habitat family to honor him by participating in the William “D’Grouch” Laubengayer Memorial Build. Billie joins a group of 14 women in the Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity community honored for their achievements, leadership, and service to our neighbors. Memorial Build
Age restrictions: All volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Those under 18 must have parent/guardian consent to participate. Sixteen and 17 year old youth cannot use power tools and cannot get more than 6 feet off the ground. If you are under 18, it is best to contact the volunteer coordinator in advance to determine the tasks that will be completed during your shift. Clothing: Wear comfortable, layered, weather appropriate clothing. Closed-toe shoes are required.

The ReStore is a retail store that sells donated household appliances and hardware to the public at very low costs. Our home improvement center allows everyone to maintain their home and store proceeds allow us to help more people achieve affordable home ownership. Income generated from the ReStore goes to support Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity's efforts to provide affordable housing in our service area.
