The COVID-19 pandemic has created an economic crisis that will be devastating for many of our neighbors. With the closure of our ReStore, cancellation of events, suspension of volunteer activities, and more, IVHFH is experiencing losses that make it difficult to respond to the needs of our clients.

This relief fund will allow IVHFH to support our homeowners through this difficult time. As they try to figure out how to pay for healthy food, childcare, reliable transportation, healthcare, all while trying to save for the emergencies that will undoubtedly arise, we will work tirelessly to ensure their housing needs are met.

That is why your support is needed now more than ever. In this unprecedented time, your gift will allow us to maintain operations and stabilize losses from closing our ReStore, suspending volunteer activities, and cancelling events. Your continued investment will help us support our homeowners without interruption. Your support will help us be ready to build homes with future families once this crisis lifts. Your support will help us prepare to make critical home repairs and accessibility modifications for homeowners again.

In Support of Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity
We envision a world in which each person has a decent place to live. Locally, we partner with both current and future homeowners, local businesses, residents, and social service organizations to construct and renovate safe, decent, affordable housing in Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Louisa, and Washington Counties.  We also secure affordable financing so that homeowners in our program save thousands of dollars over the life of their mortgage.   Globally, we work to remove barriers to decent housing by supporting Global Village trips and tithing to Habitat for Humanity global builds.  Together with our community, Habitat homeowners gain the strength, stability, and self-reliance needed to build better lives and stronger communities.
